Chaka Khan

Age: 1 year old<br/>Weight: 13 pounds<br/><br/>Chaka Khan is a beautiful 1 year old beagle mix. Rescued from a hoarding case, she is fearful and skittish, but wants so badly to trust a human. She recently was taken into a foster home and is doing very well. Her foster mom says:<br/><br/>Chaka Khan is well on her way to becoming the perfect dog. She is about 13 pounds with a beautiful brindle coat. Her fur feels like velvet and she hardly sheds at all. Chaka Khan is scared in her new surroundings and likes to sit under our rattan sofa for part of the day. She likes to also sit on your lap or lay in bed next to you. She sleeps in her crate at night. She sometimes whines for affection and stays close when we walk around the house. She needs a secure yard with a wood fence. She would do well with another dog to show her the ropes. She protects her food, which is not unusual. She shows signs of playfulness and would make an excellent walking companion once she becomes more confident.
