Chai! 's Story

Courtesy Post! Meet Chai – Waiting for Over 2 Years in Boarding for Her Chance

Chai is a sweet, playful, smart girl who has been patiently waiting for a real home for far too long. You can see her aging in these photos. A dogs life is so short, she can't spend her best years locked up w/o a home.

She is about 5 years old, around 65 lbs, well trained, fully vetted, and walks beautifully on leash. Chai knows basic commands and is easy to handle, making her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a dog past the puppy stage.

Chai loves people and does great with kids. She enjoys playing with well-mannered dogs and has a happy, playful personality.

She would likely chase cats and would need work living with them, and she would not be a good fit for homes with small animals such as chickens or rabbits.

Chai was rescued from the shelter and has now spent over two years waiting in rescue in boarding. Two years in boarding is simply not the life this sweet dog deserves.

She has so much love to give and is ready to finally belong to someone. You can see how happy she is meeting people in her video.

Chai was recently visited the rescues mother, who described her as gentle, affectionate, and easy to walk — the kind of dog who quickly makes people fall in love with her.

After everything she has been through, Chai just needs someone to give her the home she has been waiting for.

If you can foster or adopt Chai, please reach out with any questions. She is in Santa Clarita Ca but for the perfect home, she can be driven to her new family up to 12 hours away round trip.

Chai is part of Sadie Rae and Mattie Mae's Revolution – All Animal Rescue Squad, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
