Celia's Story

Hi everyone! My name is Celia. I'm 3 years old. I weigh a solid 45 lbs. I came from DACC and my foster mama picked me up on 12/5/25 evening so I can have a good weekend of adjusting and getting to know her. I had two accidents inside on day one, but I think I was nervous, nothing since. I love cuddles, taking naps, and I'm very curious and cautious. I do snore. When I'm happy I snort like a little piggy. I am learning and doing well with my new routine. I wake up at 6AM and go for a nice short walk and go potty, then breakfast, and then some loving. I go out one more time at 7AM to try to potty once more. This is to help my foster mamas work week. I am crate trained but it does take a small treat to help encourage me to go inside. I have blankets and a chewy with me to stay calm. I have had no accidents inside my crate. I love walks and I do great on a leash but I am strong. I recently discovered that windshield whippers are not my friends. My foster mama and I are going to work on exposure training with treats to help get use to them so car rides can be safer for me. I am figuring out what my likes and dislikes are, my foster mama is doing great to help me feel safe!

I am also looking for my forever family! please share my adorable chunky face with your friends and family.

Cick on more about us to fill out our adoption application.

A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thank you for considering A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue for your new fur baby! If you are interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website at www.rejoycefulrescue.com for that animal. Please allow up to 72 business hours after submitting your application for a response. Our application process is as follows: 1. After your application has been received and reviewed, the foster parent of the animal will reach out to see if you have any specific questions regarding the animal. Prior to setting up a meet and greet, we will complete a vet check to ensure all animals currently in your home are up to date on vaccines, spayed or neutered and in good health. 2. Once your application has passed a vet check, we will set up a time for a meet and greet. The meet and greet is no-obligation and simply allow the foster to meet you and for you to meet them! We always host our meet and greets on a "neutral ground" if there are other animals and ensure proper introductions are done to allow safety for all. 3. Last but not least, if we both decide you might be the perfect furever family, we will reach out to set up a time for a home check. The purpose of the home check is simply to ensure the animal is heading to a safe environment. If necessary, our foster may point out items that can cause health issues or potential safety issues. 4. Once this process has been completed and approved, our finalization team will prepare an electronic contract for your signature confirming the adoption. Our adoption fee is $450 for dogs and $175 for cats. We ask, whenever possible, the hand off of your new fur family member is to be done at a local Petsmart to allow us to receive additional charity dollars to help our foundation. Your foster family will provide more information on this. We appreciate your patience during the process and pride ourselves on the best possible placement for our fosters. Please note, our applications are not "first come, first serve" and we will review each application equally to ensure the best home is selected for our animals. If you have any questions at any time, please email info@rejoycefulrescue.com.
