CELESTE's Story

Meet Celeste — your soon-to-be best friend. (She is currently living with a foster family in Texas and can be transported through Project Freedom Ride when she is adopted.)

Her story begins in a high-kill shelter in Texas, where she arrived pregnant. Tragically, her puppies were born in the shelter and did not survive. Despite everything she’s been through, Celeste’s heart remains full of love, hope, and resilience. Today, she is fully healed, thriving, and ready for her forever home.

Celeste is a friendly, funny, medium-energy girl who brings joy wherever she goes. She loves to play, but she also knows when it’s time to settle down and be calm and gentle. Her curious personality keeps life fun, and her loyalty will make you wonder how you ever lived without her.

She’s a smart girl who is doing great with her training — she already knows “sit” and “down” and is eager to keep learning. While she can be a little shy when meeting new dogs at first, with proper introductions she quickly makes friends and has enjoyed playing with another foster dog her own size. Celeste is okay around cats and loves her walks on leash. She would be best with children over 8 years old due to her size.

Celeste is the kind of dog who will fit beautifully into a loving home and return that love tenfold. She’s ready for a fresh start, and she can’t wait to share her heart with you.
