Cedar's Story
Meet Cedar – A True Survivor Ready for His Forever Home
This handsome boy has been patiently waiting for a home of his own for far too long. Cedar was rescued at just 4 months old in April 2024 from the Coachella Valley Animal Shelter, saved on Easter Sunday after being kill-listed. All of his siblings have since found loving homes now it’s Cedar’s turn.

Cedar needed time to feel safe, and he has blossomed beautifully at his own pace. He’s still a bit shy at first, but once he trusts you, his playful and loving personality shines. He loves the outdoors, enjoys running, and does great with other dogs. He’s curious, smart (he taught himself how to use the dog door!), and food-motivated, which makes training a breeze.

Cedar at a glance:
• About 2 years old
• Likely a cattle dog / hound mix
• Crate trained & potty trained
• Sleeps through the night
• Great with other dogs
• Athletic, playful, and intelligent
• Thriving more each day with patience and kindness

Cedar is a gentle soul who would do best in a calm, loving home where he can relax, decompress, and continue building trust. With patience and consistency, he will be an incredibly loyal companion.

Located in Santa Barbara

We are so grateful to everyone who helped save Cedar and his siblings eight fearful puppies who had nowhere else to go. Watching them come out of their shells one by one has been amazing. Now, we’re hoping Cedar’s forever family is out there.

If you’re looking for a special dog to grow with and love, Cedar is ready for you. .
