Cecil's Story
Cecil joined the Woodstock family last month, after he was found roaming by a river and taken to a nearby shelter. The shelter noticed that he had some concerning issues with his… boy business, that they were unable to rectify. After further surgical intervention, we are happy to announce that everything is in working order and no longer a concern!

Cecil is an adorable chihuahua, about 9 years old and 7-8lbs. While he does not seem to have the nippy tendencies that many chihuahua’s have, he is a skittish little guy. He is slow to warm up to his people, but once he does, he lets his quirky personality show. He still has a lot of spunk, but prefers to spend much of his day looking for food and napping. He does not love being picked up and carried but tolerates it when necessary. He enjoys snuggling up next to his people and lives for belly rubs! Cecil goes potty outside when taken every few hours, but he also does not hesitate to potty in the house if he has not been outside in a while. He does well in a crate and with other dogs. We imagine he’d be fine with cats as well.

Cecil is looking for a home that is more quiet than not, as he gets a bit overwhelmed with too much loud and unexpected activity. He would prefer a home without kids, or older kids who are respectful and understand that he does not want to be carried around. Due to his skittish nature and lack of exposure to a leash, a fenced in yard will be required.

Adoption applications can be completed at https://www.woodstockanimalfoundation.org/adopt-a-dog/.
