Catnip's Story

This adorable, sweet, quiet, 2.5 year old beagle is dreaming of his furever home. He is not your typical beagle and doesn't really have a prey drive. He is relatively quiet and calm, loves to cuddle, but does have a playful side. It may sound too good to be true but he is the real deal. He has had some leash training, and will just need some help with finishing potty training and basic commands. He's a bit on the shyer side, and seems to get along with some dogs and kids, but would probably prefer a quieter household with smaller dogs and older kids. He loves to curl up in his bed or on the couch, but he also loves going for walks and playing in the yard. It's the cutest thing when he gets the zoomies (check out the video)! He's going to be someone's best buddy.

New update:
He just went on his first real hike and loved exploring all the new smells and is great on the leash (doesn't pull at all), so we've begun working on the sit command. He's getting more playful and brave every day in foster care. Potty training is almost complete, but he prefers a yard where he can do his business instead of being on a leash.

Catnip is one of our heroes because he has dedicated his first few years of life to research and now needs someone to give him an amazing retirement. He has been doing so well in foster care he is ready for his forever home!

Apply to adopt him today at https://homesforanimalheroes.com/giving-homes/adoption-process/
