Cassie's Story

Cassie is a 3-year-old German Shepherd who is with a rescue partner in Mississippi. She has been with Sheba (a 7 yo doberman or hound mix) and the rescue was hoping to find a home for them together, but their foster is facing major health issues and the rescue is also in the midst helping with a large hoarding situation. They are willing to split up the two dogs at this point. We are really hoping someone in Vermont (or Northern NY) who might open their heart and home to either foster or adopt...one or both dogs.

Both dogs are spayed, vaccinated, and healthy. Cassie weighs about 65#. She is described as having the perfect blend of playful energy and loyal companionship, always ready for a walk, hike, or a backyard game of fetch. She is dog-friendly and would do best in a home that offers space to explore or regular outdoor time with her people. When the day winds down, she is happy to relax nearby, soaking up companionship and calm moments.

Cassie's adoption fee is $250 or if someone would adopt both Cassie and Sheba, the total fee would be $400.

To apply to foster or adopt, go to cvcaninerescue.org
