He’s friendly, affectionate, and loves making new doggy friends too. Basically—he’s the whole package! <br/><br/>The busy shelter environment makes him a little nervous, but you can tell he’s dreaming of the day he gets to relax in a real home. Cass will be so grateful to the family who gives him that second chance.<br/><br/>Cass gets pretty excited on walks and can be a bit of a puller. But hey, that just means he’s eager to get out and explore the world! With a little practice and patience, he’ll be trotting along like a pro in no time.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, lovable guy to brighten your days, Cass is ready to be your new best friend. <br/><br/>Cass is a handsome Lab/Hound. He is 2 years old and he weighs 56 lbs. <br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A PET<br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>FOSTERING<br/>Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives? Consider fostering by filling out our foster application at https://www.kckpd.org/Animal-Services/Foster-a-Pet. All supplies are provided.
