Casper's Story

Hi! I’m Casper. I am two years old and a Golden Doodle. I don’t know if I was named for Casper the Friendly Ghost, but when it comes to people…that’s me! Friendly, affectionate, snuggly, and fun. If you know about Doodles, you know that we are still very much puppies until we turn about three. I’m a BIG, tall puppy in search of BIG, tall people who know about puppy education, regular exercise and play. Someone clearly taught me basic skills…my favorite one is sitting in your lap! I am house-trained, not destructive in the home, good in the car, and I love to swim. Movie nights? Move over and make room for me…I’m in! Because I am a tall boy, you will need to keep clean counters, but when it comes to your personal items…all good! For all my big goofiness, I’m a gentle and dainty type boy. I enjoy the company of other nice dogs if the introduction is slow and easy. I’ve worked really hard on my out-and-about dog skills with good progress. I’ll never be a dog park kind of dog…it’s too overwhelming for me. But I can walk by other dogs who mind their own business, and the people here can show you a couple of tips for keeping my focus if other dogs give me the stink eye. I’m not fond of cats or little yappy dogs, but I think that sturdy kids to play with would be awesome. I have perfected play! More than anything, I am anxious to begin a new chapter with people who will love me and I can love back. Give me a soft bed, a stuffy, and your lap, and I’ll be your constant companion. I’m Casper. And I’m ready for home!
