Casper's Story

Casper and his four Husky mix siblings were only 8 weeks old when we rescued them from a hoarding situation. Despite their rough start, these five little fluffballs already know what it means to fight for a second chance and are blossoming into the sweetest, gentlest pups with so much love to give.

Ideal family:

Casper’s ideal family is one with the experience and lifestyle to meet the needs of a high-energy, working breed. While he has a chill and easygoing personality, he also has an active, playful side that thrives on adventure. He’ll need someone committed to providing daily mental and physical enrichment so he can enjoy his downtime as your happy couch companion. His perfect match would also have the time and dedication to continue his training and socialization — ideally someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule.

Personality:

Affectionate

Playful

Loyal

Gentle

Fearful

Insecure

Happy go lucky

Good companion

Active

Fun

Loves to cuddle and give kisses

Can be insecure in new environments but adapts very quickly

Physical characteristics:

Male

8 weeks old

~12 lbs, ~60 fully grown

Medium shedding

Social levels:

Good with people

Good with dogs

Not tested with cats but good potential

Good with children 8+

Activity levels:

Medium (60-90 min of exercise a day as an adult)

Loves to:

Play fetch

Chew on bones

Play with toys

Training levels:

90% basic obedience

80% potty trained

80% crate trained

What they need to work on:

Basic obedience

Puppy behaviours: Biting and nipping, potty training, leash training

Confidence building

Exposure to new environments (His litter is socially delayed due to their life experiences prior to coming to being transferred to us)

Medical Characteristics:

Vaccinated ( DHPP, Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Rabies)

Parasite prevention

Sterilisation (To be done between 12-18 months under us)

Adoption Fee: $795

Medical procedures: Vaccinations, Sterilised, Microchip, Prevention Medication (tick and flea)

Basic supplies

Medical booklet

Informational guide

Support group with Passion for Paws team during adoption trial
