He adores fetch, is very treat motivated, and already knows “sit.” He enjoys attention and leans in for affection, showing his sweet, social side. On walks, he can have a strong pull, so he would do best with an adopter who can provide structure and guidance.

Cashmere needs slow introductions to other dogs and would thrive with patient, experienced adopters.

He also has chronic allergies, ear infections, and skin sensitivities that require ongoing care, including medication, ear cleanings, and diet management. Future dental care may also be needed. An adopter willing to provide this care will be rewarded with a loyal, loving companion.

Cashmere comes with a medical waiver due to these conditions. 01/23/26 14:50 On Needs Rescue for visibility. 04/06/26 What I did today (3 sentences):
Cashmere and his buddy enjoyed a leisurely 21⁄2-mile walk with
plenty of breaks along the way. During break time, Cashmere loved
lying in the sun, playing with his toys, and soaking up lots of pets.
He was a true gentleman throughout the outing and remained
completely unfazed by joggers, cyclists, and even other dogs during
their morning walk.
What to know about this dog:
• Rides well in the car and enjoys outings
• Gentle, polite, and well-mannered in public settings
• Calm and unbothered by new sights, sounds, or other dogs
• Loves toys, treats, and positive attention
Three words to describe me:
Loving, Polite, Gentleman

03/03/26 Today was my very first tails and Trails! I wish I’d known about
these sooner! I met me new friend and got into my gear very nicely,
then I jumped into her car and rode like a good boy! We went to a
big park and we walked all over, even around a lake! I liked
observing everything and of course I checked all the park messages
and replied! I am very snuggly, so we cuddled when we stopped for
water breaks and we hung out and watched some people and bikes,
too. I met several dogs and even said Hi to a few who were at a dog
park!
What should potential adopters know about me: Cashmere is just
like his name: soft, gentle, and pure class! He was such a good boy
when we walked by a dog park! We ran into a shelter pal to chat with
and he sat like a perfect gentleman while we chatted and said “Hi”
to a few of the dogs through the fence. On leash he is very easy to
walk. He does like to check messages and add to conversations as he
goes ?? When we saw ducks and geese at the lake, he was curious
but did not pull or get overly excited. This beautiful boy would be an
amazing addition to a family!
Three words to describe me: Gentle, Affectionate, Calm

01/06/26 16:53 Easy out, hesitates to go back in kennel. Can have pretty strong pull and good amount of energy for a big boy. Loves fetch, knows sit and very treat motivated, allowed handling and leaned in. Needs slow introduction with other dogs. Chronic allergies that have improved in shelter on diet, apoquel, and frequent ear treatments. May maintain on diet alone once ear infection resolved but due to intensity of care- need urgent rescue.
