Case's Story

Case is a neutered male Shepherd mix that we are estimating to be around 1 year old and weighs 68 lbs. Like the biggest share of our dogs, Case was abandoned by his owner.

Another wonderful dog wondering what he did to find himself at a dog shelter. After spending some time with Case, I am wondering the same thing folks. This is a great dog that I believe someone is going to be very happy to have found here at our shelter. A very handsome boy with his black/white coat with brown around his ears and face.

I am reasonably certain that Case has had house training. He could hardly wait to get out the door before taking care of his business and a couple more times on a short walk. Nevertheless, he is going to need a little time to adjust to a new home and environment. Please be patient with him. I was walking him on just a slip lead and found he could be very strong. A harness would be very helpful, and we would provide you with both a harness and leash at the time of adoption.
Please watch his video on Petfinder to see Case off leash in our exercise yard. I would describe his energy level as medium to high. About what you should expect from a dog so young. Case has already been taught to sit, likes to shake paws with you, and takes his treats gently from your hand. After he had a chance to explore his surroundings, he was content to sit nicely with me and sponge up the loving.

If you already have a dog(s) in your home, there will be a meet & greet at the shelter.

I say this about all our dogs here at the shelter but it’s true. They all need a chance to show you they are good dogs and worthy of you picking them to adopt and take to their forever home. Case is no exception. He is a sweet, friendly, and affectionate dog that is deserving of a 2nd chance at life. Please consider getting Case out of his kennel to see if he could be the dog, you are looking for.
