Cartier's Story

Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Cartier. She is one of 3 female sisters surrendered to our Rescue by the owner. The Mom is a Bull Terrier mix and the father is a Shep/Border Collie (see photos). The Mom is 65lbs and Dad is 70 lbs. These pups have short hair coats. We have named them after famous Jewelers.

Cartier is a gentile girl who is timid with men. She loves other dogs and needs a home with a canine companion. Cartier is great on car rides and will happily lay down the whole time. She loves her walks and sometimes get the zoomies. She is fully crate trained and is well on her way with toilet training. She does her business outside or on walks with some reminders to go outside.Cartier does not chew or mouth and is good with kids as she mostly ignores them. She was very interested in meeting a cat and was respectful and calm with her so she likely would be good with a dog friendly cat.Cartier is not treat motivated so training is slow however she wants to be near here people so will follow you around and will sit when asked if she is feeling confident and comfortable.Cartier does not jump or go on furniture. She is happy to have her dog bed and goes to her place easily. She requires a second resident socialized dog in the home.Cartier is fully vaccinated and microchipped.Thank you to Stephen Taylor Photography for your expertise and showcasing these lovelies!

Visit barksandmeows.ca for an online application.
