Carter is an 11-month-old schnauzer–poodle mix weighing about 10 lbs, and he’s a total snuggle bug. He’s fully potty trained and does well sleeping in his crate, especially if it’s in the same room as his people. He just likes knowing you’re nearby. Carter is more of an indoor guy right now. He’s not a big fan of the outdoors and would much rather be curled up on the couch or snuggled in bed. As he gains confidence, this may change, but for now he thrives in a calm, cozy home environment. He does okay when left alone in the house, usually is just sleeping when we return. He can be a little timid and unsure around strangers at first, but with patience and gentle introductions, he warms up and shows his sweet, affectionate side. He hasn’t been tested with children or cats yet. As a schnauzer–poodle mix, Carter doesn’t shed much and is a great option for those with allergies. He’s looking for a loving home that will give him time to build confidence, lots of comfort, and plenty of cuddles. If you’re searching for a loyal little companion who prefers love and lounging, Carter might be your perfect match. . His adoption fee is $350. A refundable training deposit of $100 will be also due upon adoption. Training must be provided in a timely fashion to ensure our pups become the best canine citizens. The training deposit will be refundable within 3 months of the adoption date.

All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.

Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog.
