Carrot's Story

Hi, I'm Carrot!

I'm a super chill, sweet, lovable female dog who came to PAWS as an owner surrender from Jackson County. My foster parents say that I definitely came from a very loving home and was well taken care of, based on my manners and demeanor. With my striking bright blue eyes and a face that always looks a little concerned (did I leave the oven on!?), I have a habit of making people smile the moment they meet me, even though I'm not worried at all. It’s just my look! What my breed is seems to be a mystery, definitely some hound because I like to do a "wooo wooo" occasionally when there is something really interesting in the backyard. I also have 5 toes on my back paws which is a trait that only a few breeds have.

I'm fully potty trained and get along great with other dogs (I like to run around the backyard with the other dogs in my foster's house), making me an easy fit for many homes. I LOVE people, and would like nothing more than being your personal weighted/heated blanket that also gives kisses. A good snuggle on the couch after a nice long walk is my definition of a perfect day. I could stand to lose a few pounds, so I'll thrive in a home that is ready to help me stay active and healthy with walks, playtime, and a good routine.

I am a charming, expressive girl with lots of love to give, and am ready to find a home where I can enjoy life, make new friends, and show off my unforgettable blue eyes. 🐶💙
