Introducing Carly, AFRP's favorite pillow princess.

While she's as cute as can be, Carly does come with some baggage of her own.

Some things to note;

Carly is not a walker, Carly is a backyard-er. She loves the freedom of having somewhere to roam without having to put up with all the scaries in the world AKA preferably staying home with someone all day. (She is not a going out kinda girl, she doesn't want to go to restaurants, parks, or beaches.) Due to her rough start in life, Carly becomes very stressed out on walks and new environments, she barks at the things that scare her but does amazing in a familiar space.

Carly does not play fetch, tug of war, or anything that could be considered lowly for her. Carly does play "save my baby", in which you politely give her the toy she has dropped near you 500 times.

Carly IS the center of attention. While she does good with cats and dogs, she prefers to be the only pet in the house. Due to her resource guarding, Carly needs a home with adult adopters only.

Carly has been with us since 2021, and she's determined to find her picture perfect home, but comes with requirements of her own. An experienced owner who is willing to give Carly a calming, low-key life and has experience with dogs who will resource guard is best. Someone who is willing to continue work with a behaviorist or training is mandatory. Carly is on anxiety medication, this is also something a future owner will have to be comfortable maintaining.
