Carina's Story

It's me again... Carina!

Wow, do I have a lot to share!

Life has been pretty amazing since I left boarding. You all remember that I spent a month with professional trainers who helped me build a solid foundation—teaching me how to be more confident and obedient. It was hard work, but I'm so proud of how far I've come!

Now that I'm back with my foster family for a while, things just keep getting better. My foster furbrothers have been showing me how to just be a dog, and my foster parents give me both structure and love to help me become the best girl I can be.

I'm still a bit of a fearful soul, but now I actively seek out attention from my foster parents.

I love snuggling in bed with them every night.

When meeting new people, I may take a minute, but I'll slowly approach to sniff and might even allow a pet or two.

I am 1 years old on Dec 14th.

I will need time to adjust in my forever home, so I'm looking for someone patient but also confident and firm. Experience with German Shepherds or Belgian Malinois is a must—my foster parents keep calling me a “sassy Belgian,” whatever that means! I do try to get away with a little mischief sometimes.

Here's what I'm looking for in my forever family:

At least one confident dog in the home (this is very important to help me thrive)

No young children

Preferably a fenced-in yard, but a long lead setup could work

Someone with strong leadership, patience, and a whole lot of love

If you can open your heart and home to me—be gentle but firm, patient but persistent—I promise that my sweet soul will shine through.
