Caramel's Story

Hi friends! I’m Caramel, a sweet-as-my-name chihuahua mix on the hunt for my forever home. My mom Godiva, brother Praline, and I came to Mutternity from a hoarding situation, and we won everyone over instantly with our big puppy eyes and adorable underbites! I’ve been told I have a “playful” nature - which means I love playing with my doggy friends! I love to romp around with my foster siblings, snuggle up on the couch for some quality nap time, and go on any adventure I can! I’d love a home with other dogs to play with - if you adopt me, I promise to be the best friend you’ve ever had (and your shadow!)

Caramel's adoption fee is a tax-deductible donation that covers vaccinations (up to adoption), microchip, neuter, and all of the costs associated with a dog in foster care. Mutternity Project's Adoption Policy
We’d be honored to help you find your forever best friend! If you're interested in one of our dogs, the first step is to fill out our adoption application at mutternityproject.org/adopt. That will help us learn more about you and match you with a pup who best fits your home and lifestyle. You’re welcome to visit our Available Puppies page on our website to see which dogs are currently up for adoption. We update the page daily to reflect each pup’s status. www.mutternityproject.org/dogs There is an initial $7 application fee, and another adoption fee once the adoption is finalized ($600 for puppies and $400 for adults). This adoption fee helps cover your pup’s veterinary care—including vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter—as well as food and supplies while they’re in foster care. Every adoption fee also helps us rescue and support more moms and puppies in need. Note: We do not place holds, and adoptions are processed in the order of approved applications that best fit the dog’s needs. For any further questions, please visit our website www.mutternityproject.org ------------------------------------------------------ Interested in adopting one of our dogs? Here’s how it works: STEP 1: Submit an Adoption Inquiry If you’re interested in one of our dogs, please fill out our Adoption Inquiry Form on our website: www.mutternityproject.org/adopt . This helps us get to know you, your lifestyle, and what kind of dog would be the best fit for your home. STEP 2: Chat with Our Team Once we receive your inquiry, a member of our team will review your application and reach out to you for a quick chat or phone call. We’ll answer any questions you have and share more details about the dog you’re interested in. STEP 3: Meet & Greet If it looks like a good match, we’ll schedule a meet & greet with the dog and their current foster family at our offices. This gives everyone a chance to get to know each other in a relaxed setting. STEP 4: Adoption Agreement Once approved, adoption finalization can happen the same day as the meet & greet. You will sign our Adoption Agreement and pay the adoption fee. STEP 5: Welcome Home! We’ll arrange your dog’s pick-up day and provide you with medical records, transition tips, and support to help your new family member settle in.
