CAPULIN's Story

My name is Capulin and I came to the shelter when my previous owner could no longer care for me. I came in with another dog who I seemed to get along with well. I do have a low grade heart murmur that does not appear to be causing me any issues currently. I am a happy, sweet dog! Foster notes on Capulin: Capulin is a sweet dog with low energy. We went for a walk and he did well on the leash and didn’t react to strangers or cars passing by. He likes treats and laying on the couch. He was nervous to get into the car, but once he was in, he settled down. We hung out at home for a couple of hours and when strangers walked through the door, he seemed nervous but didn’t bark. We hung out at home for a couple of hours and he liked to lay on the couch and look out the back door. He is sweet and mellow. Capulin was shy at first but warmed up with plenty of praise and pets! We took him on a hike in the woods, and he loved it! Sniffed almost every tree and seems like he’d love to go for a run as well! We saw some deer and he was very chill and didn’t bark at all. He checks behind him when walking to make sure you’re still there! He also loves butt scratches. So cute. I'm a stylishly senior pet and therefore my adoption fee has been reduced. If you are 65 and older and interested in adopting me, ask staff about our Senior Squared deal!
