Captain Wigglesworth (aka CW)'s Story
Ahoy mates, I'm Captain Wigglesworth! But as my future family, you can call me CW or Wigs or Wiggy for short. I'm pretty rad so I gotta have more than one cool nickname, right?! I walk a little sloppy but don't you worry, the doc said I'm all good! I was born with cerebellar hypoplasia, which means I'm missing the part of my brain that would help my balance--thus the goofy walk. But it won't get worse and I won't need meds, so how's that for a win?!

My bestie Janey and I go everywhere together, she keeps me balanced. I'm a little shy meeting new people, but Janey helps me feel comfortable. And once I open up, I'm a happy, playful pup! Ready to take us home together? Message Mayday and tell them you want to meet the cutest fella on the block! I get along with other dogs but Janey decides which ones, so also tell my Mayday peeps if we might have siblings at home. We're going to have so much fun together!

Jigs? Waney? Dude N' Tude? No matter what we title this dynamic duo, the key is that Janey and Wigs love being together and we can't bear to separate them. Janey's outgoing personality helps Wigs bridge the gap his shy demeanor can create with humans. And Wigs gives Janey the unfaltering love and companionship she craves, despite her bossy 'tude. They're both a little different and they embrace that, which is something we'd love to see more of in this world.

Check out my buddy Janey's profile to learn more about her!

Captain Wigglesworth has *cerebellar hypoplasia. **Cerebellar hypoplasia is a permanent neurological condition that causes permanent balance and coordination issues. Cerebellar hypoplasia causes jerky movements, tremors and generally uncoordinated motion. The animal often falls down and has trouble walking. To manage this condition for your pet, it is vital that you understand your pet's physical limitations. As your pet may have difficulty controlling movement, you may need to assist your pet when eating and drinking. Providing your pet with a safe environment is essential. Due to the imbalance and wide stance, stairs and uneven ground may cause a hazard. A non-slip, flat surface, such as carpeting, is an ideal environment for your pet.*

If you are interested in adopting or fostering, please check out our site at www.maydaypitbullrescue.org or email us at info@maydaypitbullrescue.org
