He may be a little shy when meeting new people or experiencing new environments, but his nervousness never turns into aggression - he simply needs a little time and reassurance to feel safe.<br/><br/>Once Captain settles in, his gentle and loving personality really shines. He is dog friendly, cat friendly, and kid friendly, though quick movements and lots of noise from young children can make him a bit unsure at first. With calm introductions and a little patience, he relaxes and does just fine.<br/><br/>Captain absolutely loves other dogs and gains confidence from them, so he will need a home with a canine companion to help him feel secure and continue building his confidence.<br/><br/>He is crate trained and does well in his crate, but he can also be left out when you’re away without getting into trouble or destroying anything.
