Capitan's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Capitan is the sweetest little boy. Well not super little, he is probably around 25-30 pounds now and will most likely get a little bigger. We are unsure of his breed, he looks like he has border collie in him but probably also some terrier, maybe lab, his coloring suggests dalmatian. He is amazing with other dogs and kids, loves to snuggle. We are not sure how he would be with cats in his home but at our events he doesn't even seem to notice them so he probably won't care. He is working on potty training but is crate trained and does pretty well on a leash. He loves the water and mud so heads up. One thing you need to know...he is deaf, and mostly blind, he lost one eye (congenital issue and it was removed), the other eye is not great either. We think he can see shadows because he navigates his surroundings just fine, even when he is in a new place. He would benefit from someone who has experience with a deaf and blind dog as training is difficult since he can't hear. But he is so easy going he would be fine as long as his people do their research and learn with him. Otherwise he is healthy, he is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

His adoption fee is $400

To adopt Capitan, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/forms
