This affectionate boy adores people, soaks up pets, and will happily lean in for more attention whenever he can. He especially LOVES toys-squeaky ones are his absolute favorite and are a great way to engage and bond with him. <br/><br/>Canelo would make an excellent running, hiking, working, or sport partner. He truly thrives with activity, structure, and a handler who can match his energy and keep both his body and mind busy. Hiking is one of his favorite things to do! <br/><br/>He is both food and toy motivated, making him highly trainable and eager to work. <br/><br/>At the Veteran's Day parade, Canelo impressed everyone by happily accepting LOTS of pets from kids and adults alike. Because he is very active and enthusiastic, he may do best in a home with bigger kids who can enjoy his playful energy.<br/><br/>Canelo can be somewhat dog neutral; however, in busy environments or when other dogs are barking at him, he may respond with barking and anxious energy. With calm handling and thoughtful management, he does best in these situations.<br/><br/>Since Canelo is currently in boarding, we are still learning about his in-home manners.
