Canella's Story

Meet Canella! This sweet pup was rescued in La Paz, Mexico earlier this year. Canella is around two and a half years old, as we estimate she was born in 2023, and weighs around 10 pounds. She is very friendly, and is currently being fostered in Portland, Oregon while she waits for her perfect family.

Canella has been around dogs of all sizes, and has no problem sharing her home with other dogs. She walks well on leash, is amazing inside of a kennel, and is also house trained. Canella has been around cats, but may or may not chase them depending on her mood, so we think a home without kitties is best. However Canella does great around children, and was fostered around them in Mexico. We think this sweet outgoing girl would do great in almost any home in the PNW. She cannot wait to find her perfect family just in time to make amazing fall memories.

All of Saving Baja Paws dogs come with a fantastic flexible foster-to-adopt option. This is a unique opportunity that allows your family to make sure it a perfect match with your new pup.

Canella's adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $475USD. This helps us cover most of her vet and care costs incurred in Mexico, and the transport fee to bring our pups over 1,500 miles to the PNW. All our dogs come spay or neutered, with all theirs shots for the year, and have had multiple blood tests done prior to entering the USA from Mexico.

All our pups come fully up to date on shots, are tested for heartworm and other diseases, microchipped, fecal tested, current on flea medications, and also come spayed / neutered.

Please Apply >> savingbajapaws.org/application
