Candy's Story

Oh Candy. You need out of the shelter and into an experienced and patient home. (Even foster home if we can find the right one!) Candys brain is GO GO GO and needs reminders to slow life down a bit. We have been training her with and E Collar and she has responded great to it. Kennel life even though we keep her in the office and out of the main kennel, candy isn’t getting the consistency in training and structure shes so desperately needs.

Candy is and almost two year old petite (32lbs) terrier mix from South Carolina

Loves to run and play with dog friends when properly introduced and given time to calm down before playing (no kitty friends at though please!)
Avid ball player
Crate/house trained
Loves all humans (best with adults only)
Active, outgoing and ready to cuddle with her new family on these cold Massachusetts days!

Interested in candy? When you come to Dog Orphans and have chosen a dog to adopt, we will ask you to fill out an adoption application. All members of your family will have to meet him/her before your application can be approved ( all family members do not have to come the first day of meeting the dog), this includes other dogs in the home (once we call your vet regarding the care of your current dog). No appointment is necessary to come and meet our adoptable dogs during business hours once available. Hours are Mon-Fri: 10am-4:30pm. Saturday: 10am-4pm Sunday: 10am-3:00pm Adoption fees are $430.00 for adult dogs and $490 for puppies. All orphans are up to date on rabies vaccines, distemper, heart worm test, stool samples, microchipped and are spayed/neutered before adoption. We do not offer same day adoptions since we want to encourage the best match possible. Please review our adoption process on our website and we welcome any questions you have by phone or email at info@dogorphans.com. 90 W
