Hi. My name is Candy. I am a 4-5 year-old little 8 lb chihuahua girl. I was rescued from California where I was originally rescued from being euthanized at a shelter. Unfortunately the person that rescued me didn't check with their landlord and I almost wound up back in the shelter again. Fortunately I am safe and enjoying life in my new foster home. I am a really super sweet girl and just want to have a new family who will love me and let me love them back. I am good with people and love to snuggle but I honestly prefer to be the only dog so I don't have to share attention.<br/><br/>If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out our adoption application which you can find on our website at www.dutchcountryanimalrescue.org/adopt.html <br/><br/>All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and DHPP, heartworm tested, treated for worms and fleas and most are microchipped.<br/><br/>We are not a shelter, we are 100% volunteer public charity. All of our dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted. Our adoption fee is on our application. Since we are not a shelter, we do not receive government funding. We are a public charity that relies solely on funds through our adoption fee, fundraisers, and private donations. Since we are 100% volunteer based, all funds collected go directly towards the rescue and vet costs of our dogs.<br/><br/>We take each rescue personally and spend a lot of effort trying to match the right dog to the right family.
