Candice is your girl! <br/><br/>This girl is gentle with a heart full of love. She adores sitting next to you, listening to your stories, and soaking up all the pets you can give—tell her she’s a good girl, and she’ll give you a look that will melt your heart every time.<br/><br/>But don’t let her calm demeanor fool you—Candice has an adventurous side! She loves long walks, exploring new trails, and would make an excellent hiking partner (bonus points if you bring snacks—she’s very motivating). She enjoys some quiet downtime in her kennel and is great at settling in there, but she’s also ready to turn any walk into a mini adventure.<br/><br/>Candice is sweet, loyal, and just the right mix of calm and playful—basically the best companion you didn’t know you needed, until now!<br/><br/>Candice is a 3 year old Shepherd/Lab mix and she weighs 53 lbs. <br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A PET<br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>FOSTERING<br/>Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives?
