But with time, patience, and the gentle care of her foster mom, she's begun to bloom. <br/><br/>Now, Candace greets each morning like a new chapter — trotting around the yard, inspecting every leaf, chasing the wind, and stretching in the sun. She's learning what safety feels like, what trust feels like... what home could feel like.<br/><br/>She's still not a fan of the crate or fish oil (some things never change), but she's stronger, healthier, and happier every day. Candace is heartworm positive and continuing her slow-kill treatment, but that doesn't stop her from embracing this new season with confidence and curiosity.<br/><br/>Candace would do best as the only dog, soaking up all the attention and calm she deserves.<br/><br/>**Candace is being fostered in Texas.
