Camilla's Story
Camilla was saved from our area high kill shelter with her four babies. The babies have long since been adopted - she is still waiting for her forever home. She is easily handled, and very affectionate nonetheless. Her perfect household would probably be an only dog home, with a female to protect, and older kiddos.

Other dogs - doesn’t fall under the like or dislike columns. It seems to depend on the dog. She is used to being the alpha female, so that’s her comfort zone. She will have to be introduced to other dogs slowly, if at all.

Likes:

Zoomies outside - as she is mainly indoors, she runs her energy off by zipping around and being crazy-pants.

Treats - she can be a picky eater sometimes, but she always loves a treat.

Fluffy blankets - she tends to shred comforters, but takes her time and really gets enjoyment out of it - so expect it to happen.

Head scratches - and ears and neck and back. She very much loves human contact. She has soulful eyes and really likes being loved on. See below about her no-no spots.

Being indoors - see below - she is an indoor girl. She is used to being on a big doggy bed, and loose in the house. She is nearly 100% potty trained, and would probably be perfect with a doggy door.

Walks - she likes to get out in her harness, either for a car ride or for a walk. She is still getting the hang of not dragging you on the leash - but with consistency she would do great!

Dislikes:

Cats - what can we say. Not a fan. She chases them out of the yard because they run.

Strangers - she generally likes people, but she is very alert and is a great watchdog letting us know with her scary bark when we have people at our door.

Pajamas - she isn’t a fan of things touching her back end. I believe she had some trauma, so besides a back scratch, she doesn’t enjoy being touched back there.

Giving kisses - she shows affection by hugging or leaning on you. She will push her head into yours for affection, but don’t expect sloppy kisses.

Being outside overnight - she is a bit of a diva as she’s been mostly indoors. When she’s too hot, she likes her AC. When she’s too cold, she likes her heat. She has super short hair and no body fat, so she is fairly temperature sensitive.

She is a really wonderful girl with a whole lifetime full friendship and companionship ahead of her. Please consider adding her to your family - we would be happy to schedule a home visit!
