Cameron's Story
Meet Cameron: Your Loyal Co-Pilot in Life Cameron is a soulful, chocolate-coated sweetheart—mostly Labrador Retriever with a hint of hound curiosity. At around 60 lbs, approx., 3 yrs old, he’s a gentle giant who wants nothing more than to be someone’s devoted companion. His heart is wide open to people, and once he knows you, he’ll love you fiercely and forever. Cameron thrives in a calm, loving environment with older children who can shower him with affection. He would prefer being an only dog. No cats. He’s not suited for farm life or homes with free-roaming animals—his prey drive makes chickens, ducks, and sheep unsafe companions. He’s been around horses and does well with supervision. This boy is a dream in the car—curious but calm, happy to observe the world or curl up for a nap. He’d be a perfect match for someone who travels often and wants a quiet, loyal buddy by their side or to go along on those family trips without having to board. Cameron is both crate-trained and housetrained. He loves lounging on his mat inside his crate, even when the door’s open—it’s his safe little sanctuary. Toys are still a mystery to him. He’ll take one, but doesn’t quite know what to do next. With your gentle guidance, he’d love to learn how to play and just be a dog. Cameron absolutely requires a tall, secure fence. He’s an adventurer at heart and will take off if not leashed or contained. His safety—and yours—depends on clear boundaries. A privacy or at least 5ft chain link fence is a requirement. Cameron is neutered, fully vaccinated, and currently undergoing heartworm treatment that will go with him. He can be adopted, and his rescue team will guide you through the process of next steps. He will also be microchipped before leaving to his forever home. Final Thought Cameron may be 60 lbs, but he’s convinced he’s a lap dog. If you’re looking for a quiet shadow, a gentle soul, and a best friend who will never leave your side—Cameron is waiting.
