Cameron's Story
ADOPTION OF A PUPPY UNDER 9 MONTHS OF AGE

The dog you are interested in is a puppy (under one year of age). Puppies are typically placed into their new homes on a foster-to-adopt basis until he or she is old enough to be spayed or neutered. Our general preference is for puppies to be no younger than 7 months old for females and 9 months old for males at the time of sterilization.

However, if a puppy is rescued directly from a shelter, we may be required to spay or neuter the puppy at an earlier age in order to comply with shelter policies and to maintain our rescue partnerships. In these cases, the procedure will be completed prior to adoption, even if it is earlier than our preferred timeline.

Homes with pools must demonstrate that puppies can be safely restricted from pool access through appropriate fencing or a secure pool cover.

Additional puppy vaccinations will be required and will be coordinated by Saving Paws Rescue AZ (SPR). Vaccines may be administered in the adopter’s home by an SPR volunteer or completed by the adopter at an SPR-approved veterinary facility.

Puppies often have multiple potential adopters. SPR carefully evaluates each application to determine the best possible match based on the puppy’s current needs and anticipated needs as they grow.

Cameron is an approximately 4-month-old puppy who, along with her sister Collette, was rescued and given a second chance at life. Now safe and thriving, Cameron is ready to find her forever family. She is a loving, sweet girl with a playful puppy personality and a heart full of love to share.

Like all puppies, Cameron is curious, energetic, and learning about the world around her. She has sharp puppy teeth and loves to chew, so plenty of toys, guidance, and patience will be important as she continues her training. Because of her typical puppy behavior, a home with older children is recommended.

Cameron is very smart, eager to learn, and enjoys bonding with her people. With consistency, structure, and lots of affection, she will grow into a wonderful companion. She is looking for a family ready to invest time, love, and training into a puppy who will reward them with loyalty, fun, and endless affection.
