Hi, I'm Calyx! I'm a 9-month-old (born 06/08/2025) Terrier / Chihuahua mix (our best guess) and I weigh about 10 lbs, which makes me the perfect little companion size. I look more like the terrier side of the family and have the cutest little scruff, which gives me so much personality! I'm playful, affectionate, and full of charm. I love toys, sunbathing, playing with other dogs, and even splashing around in the water. I also love being picked up and getting lots of pets — I'm happiest when I'm close to my people. Even though I'm small, I can definitely keep up with the big dogs! I'm already spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. I'm still working on my potty training since I'm still young, but I'm learning every day. More than anything, I'm dreaming about the day I finally meet my forever family — maybe it could be you! Leashes of Love Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

Fill out an Adoption Application at https://www.lolr.org We will then have a brief conversation with you to determine your needs and preferences, find out about your daily schedule, and talk about your previous experience with pets. If applicable, we'll call your veterinarian to ensure that previous pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and well cared for. For renters, we'll check with your landlord to ensure that dogs are permitted and that the dog that you're adopting wouldn't violate any size or breed restrictions. Lastly, we'll visit your home to see the environment where the dog will live and answer your questions. This is a great opportunity for you to get valuable input on how to integrate your new pet into your home. Adoption fees are generally between $300-$450 depending on which pup you are adopting.
