Calvin O 26106's Story

Calvin is a special needs boy that is deaf and blind. He is in the Compassionate Care Program so that he can stay with his foster and receive all the medical care needed provided by RMCR and his vet team.

UPDATE 9/22/26: He's settling in. Not much howling anymore. He has no vision or hearing but he makes up for it with his super powered sense of smell. He can smell food from the other side of the house! His nose goes up and he starts to search for it! He also uses smell to find us. He's so good at knowing exactly where we are and then settles at our feet. He's so funny. He walks under the kitchen chairs then stands tall and starts walking. As he drags the chair across the room the belly band falls off. We think he knows exactly what he's doing .

History: Calvin is very friendly and is said to still enjoy life. Calvin is settling into his foster home and learning his away around with a couple of foster buddies to help him. He currently needs a lot of vet care. He has cataracts in both eyes and a lense in the left eye that is not in the right position. He will be seeing a canine opthalmologist soon. His teeth are in horrible conditdion, he will loose most of his teeth when he has a dental.
