Calvin's Story

Calvin!!

Calvin is a 4-6 month old lab/husky mix who has had a pretty isolated, rough, traumatic start. He is now in a wonderful foster home with two pups (a great dane and a chihuahua) and two cats and is thriving. He is learning how to be brave, have fun, play with toys and enjoy the cozy things life has to offer (he loves his bed and his blankets).

Cal is quiet, curious and loves being around other dogs. He also loves yummy snacks, lounging around and being in the kiddie pool on hot days. He is learning the ropes of living in a home, is working on potty training and is getting acclimated to being in the car. His foster mom has a big fenced in back yard - he loves getting the zoomies and running free with his animal friends. Cal hasn't had a lot of human affection in his life, but he is getting less fearful of human touch.

Cal needs a family that has some experience with dogs who have faced trauma. His new home must have at least one dog who will enjoy spending time with him. A fenced in yard would be ideal as well, as Calvin is still very frightened by many things and keeping him safe and secure is pressing. Calvin would do best without young children in the home. Older children would be ok. He loves cats!

If you want to meet this fun, sensitive little guy, please reach out!

Harmony Dog Rescue believes in fostering to adopt, so if you think Calvin would be a good fit for you and would like to spend some time with him, please fill out our application below to meet Cal.

https://form.jotform.com/241044646412146
