Meet this sweet, gentle fella named Calvin! He came into the shelter as a stray on January 15, 2026, and was never reclaimed. Now, he's patiently waiting for his adoption day and a fresh start.<br/>When Calvin first arrived, he was skin and bone, with calluses on his hind end and clearly down on his luck. Thanks to the love and dedication of the shelter staff and volunteers, he's slowly gaining the weight he needed and beginning to come out of his shy shell.<br/>At first, Calvin wouldn't walk on a leash, but with time and patience he's grown more eager to head outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine on his face. He absolutely loves treats and is very food-motivated-understandably so after being hungry for who knows how long.<br/>During the recent snowstorm, we discovered that Calvin enjoys running and playing for a bit, followed by what he truly loves most: treats and snuggle time with his human friends.<br/>Calvin is around 5 years old, current on shots, and recently neutered. If you love hounds, you truly need to meet this guy.
