Old enough to know a thing or two, young enough to still bounce into life with enthusiasm.<br/><br/>Calvin is friendly in the best way. He doesn't overthink it. He just likes people. He greets you like you've been expected all day. There's a zest to him, a little spark that says he's not done adventuring yet.<br/><br/>We believe he was potty trained at some point in his life. As with any dog adjusting to a new home, he'll need a refresher course to learn your routine. But he's a smart guy, and with consistency and patience, he should settle right back into good habits.<br/><br/>Now here's the part where Calvin needs a hero.<br/><br/>He is heartworm positive, which means he will need a calm, stable place to undergo treatment. It's a lengthy process that requires rest and low stress. A busy shelter is not the ideal place for long-term healing.
