Calum's Story

You know the saying about teaching an old dog new tricks? Well, it's not true, at least not for Calum. This 12-year-old loves learning and will impress you with an exceptional repertoire of tricks.

Despite his age, Calum is active and appreciates walks and playtime. Do you remember the last snow day? Calum zoomed around the yard at full speed like a puppy. We have videos to prove it

You can introduce Calum to your friends because he relishes human company. It may take him a couple of meetings to be fully comfortable with a person, but once you're on Calum's friends list, they are good for life!

One fact to know: like many seniors, Calum takes some meds. They help with his aching knee and hypothyroid. He takes them without fuss, and they let him stay active.

Calum is house-trained and will gladly go to his crate when needed. But he'd rather stay on the couch, to be honest, with his head leaning against a beloved human.

Calum has been waiting for his human for a long, long time, but has not lost hope, and neither have we. We want his senior years to be the best years of his life! If you have love to share, please consider giving Calum a chance.
