Calla's Story

Meet Calla!
This lovely lady is intelligent, attentive and patiently waiting to meet her FURever family! She was found as a stray, so we do not know her background.

Calla loves attention and is receptive to meeting new people. She loves playing in our yard and spending time with her handlers. Cala knows some obedience commands, but will require some additional training with her new family. Calla is usually quiet, but typical to her breed, will bark to alert us of visitors or when another dog passes by her kennel. She has not interacted with other dogs while in our care, but will be introduced to some new canine friends soon!

Layla is 7 years old, spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped.

The German Shepherd Dog is a loving, loyal and even-tempered family companion. They are eager to please and easy to train, which is why they are often utilized as police dogs, service dogs and agility dogs.
Known as a one-man breed, they display serious loyalty to their primary caretaker. German Shepherds require both mental and physical enrichment and require owners to meet high demands for exercise, training, and socialization to manage their energy, prevent anxiety, and avoid behavioral issues. .

If you would like to adopt a pet, please call Caledon Animal Services at 905-584-2272 x4698.
