CALI's Story

Cali’s previous family describes her as a brilliant and incredibly sweet girl who truly captures your heart. While some training will always be necessary in a new environment, Cali's previous owners report that she is already house-trained and a total star when it comes to some basic commands. While she is a loving companion to people, Cali prefers to be the center of your world and has reportedly not done well with other dogs in the past. Cali hasn’t had the chance to meet any children or feline friends just yet, so it’s a mystery how she’d feel about them! She’ll need a home where she can take things slow and get to know her new family at her own pace. Cali is waiting to be your loyal, clever best friend. Insights from my advanture buddies and foster friends: Cali is such a sweet and curious girl! She did great on her Dog Day Out and loves to explore and meet new people. She would be the sweetest addition to a good home! We first got a pup cup, and then went on a walk at Bolin Creek Trail. She loved to explore and sniff everything around her. We finished up with some cuddles, a comfortable ride back to the shelter and treats! Love her curiosity & precious smile! We went on a walk and she enjoyed lots of treats. Two of my close friends walked with us, and Cali was very friendly and excited. She didn’t pull much (only when she saw a few squirrels) and was awesome in the car!
