Meet Cali <br/><br/>Cali is a 9-year-old pit bull with a huge heart, a sharp mind, and an adventurous spirit. After being surrendered when her family could no longer care for her, she's ready to find a loving home where she can spend her golden years being someone's cherished companion.<br/><br/>A recent field trip gave us a wonderful glimpse of what life with Cali is really like-and she was amazing! Cali is smart, attentive, and well-mannered. She responds beautifully to whistles and commands like sit, stay, and down. In the car, she simply settled in and slept, even patiently minding her manners when food was nearby.<br/><br/>The biggest surprise was paddle boarding! Cali hopped right onto the board without hesitation and calmly laid between her handler's feet while they paddled. Apparently, nobody told Cali she's nine!<br/><br/>Cali is affectionate, playful, and loves being with her people. She can play a little rough, so she may do best as the only pet in her new home, where she can be the center of attention and soak up all the love. <br/><br/>Cali has already shown us she's ready for car rides, outdoor adventures, quiet afternoons, and anything else her person wants to do-as long as she gets to come along.
