Caleb's Story

AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY.

Meet Caleb! Caleb is a 3 year old male corgi and he weighs about 20 pounds. Caleb arrived in rescue after coming from a home with too many pups that could no longer care for him. He has settled into foster care nicely and his foster mom says: Caleb's a pretty laid-back guy. He is mostly a couch potato but watch out for when he gets the zoomies, he can be pretty fast! He enjoys finding cool places to lay down and, in the evenings, likes to hang out on the couch. He hasn't barked once in my care. He gets along great with the other female dog in the household. We're working on the commands sit and stay. We're also teaching him the proper places to mark; he's a little marker. Caleb should be in an enclosed yard with no space to squeeze under or through the fence. He hasn't gotten out, but he's pretty smart and tries to find spaces. He is doing pretty well with leash walking, a little more practice is all that is needed. He does excellent with grooming and sits still to be brushed. Caleb doesn't seem to be food or toy oriented although he will occasionally play with a rope and a Kong. Caleb won't willingly go into his crate but is perfectly behaved once inside. He is crated at night, but no doubt would love to be near a human.

Caleb is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned.

Caleb is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $525. If you are interested in applying to adopt Caleb, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
