Caldwell's Story
Caldwell did not RSVP to shelter life. In fact, he was found as a stray, probably out there freelancing as a mysterious, handsome drifter with a brown sugar coat and eyes that say, “I have seen things… mostly squirrels.”

Fast forward 827 days later, and Caldwell has officially been waiting longer than most people keep their New Year’s resolutions. But plot twist, he is currently THRIVING in a foster home, proving that shelter life was never his personality, just his unfortunate origin story.

At 5 years old, Caldwell is in his prime. He wears pajamas better than you do. He poses for photos like he has a brand deal pending. He loves toys, respects snacks like they are a sacred resource, and when he trusts you, he loves hard.

He does need an experienced, adult-only home with no other pets. He is strong on leash and has big feelings sometimes. Caldwell is not for beginners. He is for someone who wants the advanced-level, rare-edition, deeply loyal, slightly dramatic, extremely handsome companion.

He has survived being a stray. He has survived 827 days of waiting. He has survived shelter life.

Now he just needs to survive being adopted.

Caldwell’s adoption fee is $0, which honestly feels like a clerical error considering the quality of dog you are receiving.
