Caesar's Story

Caesar was adopted from us as a puppy a few years back. His story was a sad one, with he, his mom, and his newborn siblings being rescued from a shack, along with dozens of other dogs. Sadly, not long ago, we received a call that one of our dogs was in the shelter. He was very underweight, and apparently had been a frequent flyer there. This time however, his owner did not come back for him. And so I made the VERY long trek to Charles County to retrieve him. In addition to being underweight, he also had a lump on his face which we had biposed. The good news was, it was nothing and cleared up. The bad news was, he was HW positive. ?<br/>Fast forward to now, and he's a healthy weight, and free of heartworms, and ready to find his FOREVER home. DNA testing tells us that he is a Pit Bull, Boxer, Supermutt and he weighs around 40 pounds. He doesn't seem to be too keen on cats, and while Sandy (his foster sibling) is his best bud, he can be weird around other male dogs. He does seem to love children tho. Apps can be found in the usual place.

Saving Grace Animal Rescue of Maryland's Adoption Policy
The adoption process consists of your completion of an adoption application, our review of the application and contacting relevant references, verifying the application information, a home visit (for puppies & dogs only) and then contacting you with a decision about approval. Please note that this process may take up to seven days so your patience is appreciated as we receive many applications each day and have many animals to care for. Once the application is approved, the adopter is contacted and arrangements are made to complete the adoption contract and take their new animal home. You will be required to read and sign the adoption contract before we will give the animal to you. Fees will generally be $175 per cat and $400 per dog. But each animal is unique and their fees may vary. See each pet’s individual pricing for the adoption fee.
