Cadet Ginger's Story
This dog is in the Paws & Stripes® program getting Obedience training.

This brazen beauty is Ginger, a Shepherd / Chow mix puppy who is currently learning leash manners and other obedience skills before finding a home. She is super-smart and very energetic. Therefore, she would not fare well living in an apartment or in a lonely backyard. Instead, Ginger would thrive best if she were an integral part of the family, where her brain and body can receive regular, structured exercise. In return, she promises to give a lifetime of unshakable devotion. Ginger can't wait to meet you in March, after her graduation from the Paws & Stripes® Program.
When a dog graduates, s/he is given a 'completion of obedience' and the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) form that states the dog completed the testing. The new owner sends the certificate form into the American Kennel Club. In return, the CGC certificate is sent to the owner. You can read about what is involved with a CGC certificate at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canine_Good_Citizen

Download the adoption application, fill it out and bring or fax to shelter to speed up your adoption process!
