The shelter caught a lot of grief over his intake picture. Attacks. Accusations. Untrue assumptions. Without anyone bothering to ASK.
This poor soul was picked up in this condition. This was his intake picture. This was in an animal control box- ones that are in their vehicle to transport animals picked up. More times than not, a pretty picture is not available immediately. And the only picture available is the one taken upon arrival to intake the animal and identify them. And posting a picture of strays immediately is priority in the event an animal has a family and has been lost or stolen. But despite how hard one tries to provide quick diligent information, the criticism remains brutal and without grounds. You will never ever please everyone no matter what or how you do it.
Caden was reported to Animal Control in this condition when he was spotted roaming on someone’s hunting property. He was originally seen with another dog, in similar condition but the other dog disappeared when AC responded to the call.
Caden has had it rough. Punctures and scars cover his face and neck. Causing them to swell with possible infection. And despite what this poor soul has been through, he carries his injured body with welcoming and wiggly wags. Happy to meet and greet another female dog we had out and engage with play bows and excitement. Same with people, he was very sweet and welcoming to our soft pets and affection.
