My name is Cabo and I am a handsome, brave, and smart little guy who knows he’s cute (and uses it wisely)! I am curious about everything—people, toys, sounds, and places —but luckily I'm not overly active most of the time. Who loves a good snuggle? I LOVE a good snuggle just as much as I love a squeaky toy. I happily play with other dogs and am always excited to meet new people, including children. Basically, if you’re breathing, I would love to be your friend! I'm still working on my potty training skills (hey, nobody’s perfect), but I am great at sleeping in my crate like a champ! With a consistent routine and a few treats, this smart pup will have it figured out in no time! If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and slightly curious sidekick who will keep you smiling, I'm ready to steal your heart—and maybe your couch spot too! If you would like to meet me, please fill out a preadoption application and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quick as they can! Delightful cuddles and sweet pup kisses-Cabo **The ADOPTION FEE for this pet is $525 which includes getting the puppy/dog up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines, fecal test and deworming if necessary, heartworm test, spay or neuter (not including pre-surgical bloodwork) and a microchip. Free access to our weekly training classes is also included for the life of the dog, something no other rescue in the area offers.*

Chicagoland Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

First step is to decide if you are ready for a long term commitment owning a dog. Ask yourself if you are ready for vet bills, cost of food, training the dog, and what would happen to him/her if you became ill. Once you have decided you are ready for the commitment, the next step is to come to an adoption show and meet the dog you are interested in. Sometimes people fall in love with a picture, only to find another dog at the show better suits what they are looking for. Please remember to bring all family members, including dog(s), who live at the home to meet the new dog. We do not adopt out dogs as gifts.
