C.T.'s Story
Everyone should remember the face of this “stray” from 11/28. We have decided to make him available since so many people expressed interest in him. C.T. is not adjusting to our kennel environment. It’s loud. It’s stressful. Some dogs can handle it, others can’t. We think he’s younger, maybe 2ish? He is a pitbull mix. At this time, we can’t properly assess him with dogs or cats, but we are going to say that a home as the only pet is what he will need - right now. That could change. He is very timid at first meet - he might bark at you. After some time and patience he allows you to greet him and pet him. He needs to make sure he can trust you (likely from his past.) We are asking for a low traffic home right now with older children. If he doesn’t find a home that meets the above criteria, after more time, we will slowly be able to do an official assessment. We prefer to place him into a home sooner rather than later for his own well being, especially with how many people have commented on his posts.

C.T.’s adoption fee will be fully covered due to a few generous individuals who donated towards his adoption fee. Just because he is sponsored, does not mean we won’t be following a strict placement for him. We’re looking for a permanent home for him. We would also consider a foster home that is understanding he may be a long term foster.

** C.T. is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered, 4DX tested (if over 6 months of age), flea treated, and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org. Scroll down and under number 2 you will see dog adoption application. Do not click on “browse our pets.” He is not listed on Petfinder. Applications are also available at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **

PA Kennel License #1333
