Buzz's Story

Buzz is 2 years old and a BIGGG boy at 90 pounds, but don’t let his size fool you. This guy is about as easygoing and go-with-the-flow as they come. He’s happy to hang out, take a walk, or just find a comfy spot to relax. He walks well on leash and isn’t reactive to people or other dogs while out and about. When it comes to sirens, though, Buzz feels the need to join in just to make sure everyone knows there’s an emergency happening

Buzz gets along pleasantly with the other dogs and cats in his foster home, is house trained, and absolutely LOVES his crate. In fact, you can often find this giant dude sleeping on his back in his crate with the door wide open because apparently that’s just where Buzz feels most comfortable.

We truly can’t say enough good things about this big lovable guy.

The hair along Buzz’s back is still growing back after a flea infestation he had prior to rescue, but the infestation has been treated and his skin and coat are healing nicely.

Buzz is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention, and microchipped.

Now all this big boy needs is a family who will love him as much as we do!

Embark DNA Results: 68% German Shepherd & 32% American Pit Bull Terrier
(Not sure we believe them, but these are the results we got)

************************************
Buzz is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at www.jasperslegacy.org/apply-to-adopt

Adoption process:
Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved.

From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption.

Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption.
