Butterscotch "Butters" Terrier Mix Zachary, LA

Butterscotch "Butters" is a beautiful, approximately 11 month old Terrier mix. Butters is what can only be described as an "old soul". She carries herself with a quiet dignity, that is well beyond her age. At just 30 pounds, Butters is the PERFECT size! She'd make a wonderful companion for older adults (as she won't get under their feet), as well as an active family with children. Those beautiful green/hazel eyes will work their magic and you'll fall in love immediately. At less than a year old, Butters is still considered a puppy; but her behavior is more like that of an older dog. She enjoys outside and loves to go on walks, meeting the neighbors and even a game of fetch, but one of her favorite things to do is snuggling on the sofa for movie night. Butters is truly one of the most loving dogs you'll ever meet. She gets along with all other dogs and loves being around her hoomans. She is quiet and low key. Her favorite things are curling up in a sunny spot to nap or snuggling with her hoomans. She is social & never meets a stranger, but will stand back until they make the first contact. Butters is ALWAYS up for a snuggle!! Everyone who meets Butters falls instantly in love with her. Butters entertains herself and is sometimes so quiet that you forget she's even there! She'd also be a great companion in a home with other dogs. She is fully house & crate trained. In general, Butters is a beautiful, healthy pup! Her adoption fee is $200. She's is up-to-date with all vaccines, spayed, HW negative & micro-chipped.

History: Butters was brought to a local vet clinic after being hit by a car & found by a passerby. Unfortunately she had no microchip & was never claimed by an owner after a diligence search. She had obviously been out on her own for quite some time and was very underweight. After tending to all of her medical needs & providing her with high quality protein nourishment, the clinic asked our rescue if we'd take her. She was taken into the rescue and placed into a loving foster home where she is learning to be LOVED and cared for & getting ALL the love. She still has a few pounds to gain, but will likely top out around 30-32 pounds.

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED for Butter's new furever family we require the following:

*Her adopter needs a fully secure/fenced yard.
* Experienced pet home with verifiable vet references/history preferred, but we realize that everyone has to start somewhere, so all applications will be considered.
*Verifiable good veterinary history INCLUDING regular vaccination/visits and Good Heartworm Prevention history is a MUST!
*Adopter must be able to have time to spend with the pup and be able to provide the pup a safe environment to live.
*ALL our dogs are expected to be primarily INSIDE dogs. They MUST sleep inside the home. We truly understand that some folks have working dogs (i.e. farmers, ranchers,etc); however, the majority of our dogs have had tough life prior to rescue & we wish to ensure they are showered with LUV & maybe even a bit spoiled for the rest of their lives.

Must Luv Dogs reserves the right to deny any applications that we don't think are a good fit with the pup. Our first & foremost concern is the dog's best interest. It is our MISSION to place them in a home that is a great fit for their needs for a lifetime of luv & being part of a family.

*We will consider adoptions in any area; however, will do not ship or transport a puppy under the age of 12 mos. We will ONLY transport an adult dog on a transport approved by MLD, at adopter's expense.

Please note that all of our pets are in private foster homes. In order to reduce any stress or confusion for our pups, we require a completed, approved application BEFORE setting up a meeting for any of fur-babies.
